ABC Amber Outlook Express Converter

ABC Amber Outlook Express Converter is intended to help you keep your important mails, newsletters, newsgroups mails organized in one file (as hypertext system). It is a very useful tool which converts your emails from Outlook Express to any document format (CHM, PDF, HTML, RTF, HLP, TXT Ansi, TXT Unicode, DOC, etc.) easily and quickly.
All you have to do is select required messages, choose document format to convert and click "Save As" button. Currently our software supports more than 50 languages.

- reads DBX files (Outlook Express databases files), even if MS Outlook Express program is not installed. In this case select "Archive" tab, open DBX file and you will see all mails displayed in the list

Since v2.22 the program is able to insert attachments into the final document. Currently txt, rtf, htm, doc, xls attachments are supported.

Since v4.09 the program can convert Outlook Express mailboxes to Unix style mailboxes.
Some Important Notes
If you want to convert messages from MS Outlook Express directly into MS Outlook, then you need ABC Amber Outlook Converter program.
Tips
Q: I've saved a huge number of outlook express emails as .eml files, and I'd like to be able to convert them to .doc files.
These eml files exist in folders, not within the outlook express program.
I'm trying to figure out if the ABC Amber Outlook Express Converter has a way of importing those files (eml files from other folders) for conversion.
A: Run the program, select "Archive" page, click "Open Archive EML/NWS/MHT Folder" button,
select a folder, then click "Find Files" button, click OK button, and you will see all emails displayed in the list.
After that you will read and convert the e-mails.
Q: ABC Amber OE Converter terminates with a message: "Out of Memory" and an empty of messages window. Could you tell me please what to do?
A: You need to compact all folders in MS OE and run Amber again.
Q: Is there a way to convert a folders and its subfolders in one pass or must they be done individually?
A: Yes, select Tools - PDF Creator menu item.
Q: I'm using your product and it is not pulling from the e-mail account that I need it to.
It keeps pulling from an old account rather than my new one (identity) that I established a few months ago.
Is there something I need to do to my setting in order for this to work?
A: You can switch between identities. You need to define the path to the folder with folders.dbx file
(Tools - Options - General - Outlook Express Options). After you make changes, just restart the program.
Q: I have downloaded the demo copy of the program, but I can't figure out how to apply it to some dbx files I need to open.
A: Run the program, select "Archive" page, click "Open Archive OE File (dbx file)"
button, open your dbx file and you will see all emails displayed in the list. After that you
will read and convert the e-mails.
Q: On my PC ABC Amber OE Converter freezes when trying to open Inbox or Sent to EML destination based on HTML part.
On the other PC this problem does not occur. How to fix the problem?
A: Compact all folders in MS OE and run Amber again.
Q: Fantastic software. Is there any way to get resultant saved .doc or .rtf files into A4 rather than the existing Letter size.
At present it means converting every one individually before we can print them out.
A: Select Tools - Options - Misc II - RTF and DOC options, and set paper size option.
